Fall is so fun!

We are having such a fun fall this year! We have kept busy every weekend.  Madeline and Brookie both had a great Halloween.  Madi Mae was a witch, a pretty one at that, and Brooklyn was a pumpkin.  It was so fun taking them trick-or-treating.  Brooklyn followed her sisters lead and acted like a professional. It was so precious to watch Madeline use her manners and only take a few piece of candy; Brooklyn on the other hand, let's just say we have some work to do.
Last weekend we went tot he ranch for opening weekend of deer season. 5 hunts later and Babe did not come back with a deer.  Madeline and I tagged along for one hunt and boring was an understatement; we are not cut out for hunting.  Babe is back at the ranch this weekend so hopefully he will bring home the bacon, or maybe the venison!

City girls go to the country

Well, Daddy went out of town this weekend to New Orleans with the boys, so the girls went to the country.  Friday night we grilled outside and the girls played and got dirt in every possible crevice of their body.  Uncle Paden fired up the redneck hot tub and Brookie had a ball taking a bath outside.  She slung her water filled wash cloth all over everyone and thought it was hilarious!  Saturday Madeline and I went to get a pumpkin and did a little shopping.  What's a weekend without a little shopping?  We had fun carving the pumpkin and then roasting the seeds;  Bubby loved the pumpkin seeds.  We pigged out on junk food galore, thanks to Nana, and hung out with family.  We had a great time in the country but sure did miss our daddy!

We're on the bandwagon!

So the Mitchell's are getting with it and starting to blog all the craziness that goes on around here.  Not sure how good I will be about the updates but I'm going to try to stay on it.
